Terms of Use

Effective · Last updated June 29, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and TweetLock. They cover what the app does, the rules for using it, how subscriptions work, and the legal essentials. By downloading or using TweetLock, you agree to them.

Accepting these terms

By creating a TweetLock account or using the app, you confirm you're old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country and that you accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use TweetLock.

What TweetLock does

TweetLock helps you ship before you scroll. You set a building window and pick the apps to lock; during the window those apps are restricted using Apple's Screen Time framework, and they're released once you publish your daily build-in-public update to X. It also tracks your streak, shows a home-screen widget, and can remind you to ship.

The lock depends on iOS Screen Time permissions and on your device configuration. TweetLock is a tool to support your own discipline — it is not a guarantee that you can't access a blocked app by other means, and it isn't a substitute for professional help with compulsive use.

Your account

TweetLock accounts are created by connecting your X account. You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping access to your X login secure. You can disconnect X or delete your account at any time from Settings.

Connecting & posting to X

When you connect X, you authorize TweetLock to post the updates you write to your X timeline and to read the basic profile information needed to run the app. TweetLock only posts content you compose and submit — it does not post on your behalf without your action.

Your use of X remains subject to X's own terms and policies. X is not affiliated with TweetLock, and access to the X API may change or be limited by X at any time, which can affect posting.

Subscriptions & billing

TweetLock offers a free tier and an optional paid plan, TweetLock Pro, available as an auto-renewing subscription. The free tier includes one lock window per day; Pro unlocks additional daily windows and may include a free trial.

How billing works

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the price for your plan.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID account settings. You can also reach this from Settings → Subscription inside the app.
  • If you have a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's policies; we generally can't issue refunds directly.

If your trial ends without Pro, or your Pro entitlement lapses, your schedule is limited to the free tier's one daily window.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use TweetLock to post content that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates X's rules;
  • attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the app's security or licensing;
  • use the app to abuse, spam, or automate posting in violation of X's terms; or
  • interfere with the service or access it through unauthorized means.

You are responsible for everything you publish through TweetLock.

Intellectual property

TweetLock, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules.

The content you write stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to publish it to X on your instruction and to operate the service.

Termination

You can stop using TweetLock and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or use the app in a way that harms the service or other users. When your account is deleted, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

TweetLock is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the lock will be effective in every situation, or that posting to X will always succeed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TweetLock and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Apple App Store terms

These terms are between you and TweetLock only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. The following apply because TweetLock is distributed through the App Store:

  • Maintenance and support. We — not Apple — are solely responsible for support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide it.
  • Warranty. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, and consumer protection claims.
  • Intellectual property. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, and resolution of that claim.
  • Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
  • Legal compliance. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-party list.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date and surface material changes in the app. Continuing to use TweetLock after a change means you accept the updated terms.
